Le-sel Research has embarked on integrating the Quality; Health; Safety and Environmental Management Systems. We have recently completed an Integrated Management System audit with SGS which covers ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Le-Sel Research is committed to producing superior quality products under safe, healthy and environmentally responsible conditions through the effective management of our quality, safety, health and environmental risks throughout the supply chain.

In keeping with this vision, all levels of our management are committed to managing and mitigating any potential impact of our operations on quality, safety, health and environment, providing a working environment which ensures that each day is a safe and healthy day of producing a superior quality product that complies with all applicable standards.

  • Ensure safe handling, use and disposal of substances,
  • Minimize waste by continuously improving opportunities for re-cycling and re-use and investigate systems to minimize or prevent pollution,
  • Continually monitoring, reviewing and improving company systems and departmental objectives in line with client requirements and industry trends,
  • Continually improve the effectiveness and performance of the system against the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SANS 1841 and other relevant legislation, and to
  • Review, revise and communicate this policy internally and, if requested, externally to clients and suppliers.

At Le-sel Research, we regard our quality system as the key to our success. No effort is spared to ensure that our systems meet and exceed the highest standards. Le-sel Research sets the highest standards in the cosmetic industry to suppliers and ensures that every item entering the facility is subjected to a stringent quality assessment before it enters production.

In addition, the focus is on quality throughout the production cycle. It’s a continuous quality assessment all the way from concepts to inception to the final product being shipped out.

The Le-sel Research quality policy states: “Quality at Le-sel Research is paramount to our success and is targeted throughout the entire supply chain with an objective of 100% compliance, 100% of the time”.



At Le-sel Research, we are frequently audited by all our clients; including multi-national clients like Johnson and Johnson, Proctor and Gamble, Avon Justine and Unilever.

In addition, we are audited annually by various institutions including SGS and Intertek and the department of trade metrology every six months.

We hold the following accreditations:
